This poem “You Have Everything That You Need” was created in a space of reflection after a period of intense change and transformation in my life.
I think today in modern times it’s easy to get caught up in the thought that we need to do more, gain more, and be more to live a satisfying life.
Through my experience, I believe doing the opposite is the key to LIVING SOULFULLY. I believe letting go of the attachment to this programmed habit of greed (always desiring more) allows us to appreciate everything that we have versus always trying to get more.
We get to live a lighter, less stressful life when we aren’t attached to the thought that we need to do or be more in order to be fulfilled.
This sense of lightness comes from having space within our lives to GET STILL and connect inwards with ourselves and something greater than our own desires.
I’m grateful to get to share this poem with you all and for every single person that takes the time and energy to read these words that I’m sharing with you!!

Before you start reading this poem, take a moment to pause and take a big deep, conscious breath into the belly and exhale anything that isn’t serving you in this moment…
You Have Everything That You Need
You have everything that you need,
So pull your attention away from greed.
And feed your soul.
Realize that you are completely whole.
Surrender to this present.
The greatest gift that we get to LIVE.
Let go of the past by remembering how to FORGIVE.
Forgive yourself for the suffering you’ve been through.
Give thanks to the strength it’s taught you.
Then offer it up to the wind.
This is the start of your journey,
Not the end.
Give yourself permission to move forward and GROW.
Be like water and surrender to the FLOW.
Let your heart be your guide,
And enjoy the ride.
Release the emotions that you’ve trapped inside,
As they constantly ebb and flow like the tide.
Don’t get lost in the illusion of the MIND.
You are perfectly FINE.
Perfectly, imperfect and DIVINE.
You contain the LOVE of the Universe,
And this human experience is
A chance to rehearse.
Let your inner child come out to play.
Show up in the world as a pure light RAY.
Whatever challenges you’re going through,
This too shall pass.
It’s all impermanent and going by FAST.
Breathe, smile, don’t forget to LAUGH.
It’s all a game.
Who do you want to be?
I choose to be the poetic child,
Aligning with nature and my inner wild.
The Lion, the Wolf, the Scorpion, and the Snake.
Reborn on Earth to remember how to create.
That remembered how to sing his song,
And stop judging what’s right from wrong.
That realized he’s always right where he belongs.
Achieving spiritual wealth
By being his most authentic SELF!!
These words are an offering to GOD, the Universe, and us ALL.
It’s time for us to stand TALL,
And have faith through the stormy weather.
It’s time to join hands and hearts.
It’s time to GET FREE TOGETHER.
